St Martin-in-the-Fields
St Martin-in-the-Fields is an architectural jewel sitting at the corner of one of the world’s most famous squares, Trafalgar Square. After undergoing a major extension and refurbishment, known as the Renewal, St Martin’s wanted a new brand to complement its updated look.

The story of Saint Martin
St Martin’s is notable for its charitable work, especially with the homeless. This charitable nature dates all the way back to the story of Saint Martin, who is buried at the church. In 334AC, Martin (then a soldier) tore his cloak to share it with a beggar who he came across in a time of need. It is this act of kindness that is embedded in to the church’s rich history that inspired the new logo design. I worked on the new identity for St Martin’s, alongside creative directors Neil and Sharon, whilst working as a designer at Howdy.
